Here at Mobius Mobility, we are dedicated to improving consumer outcomes as well as taking strides to improve industry standards. This is why we have decided to implement the Functional Mobility Assessment (FMA) Outcome Program as standard practice with all new iBOT® users. The FMA is a measure that evaluates an individual’s functional ability and satisfaction with a mobility device. The survey is a series of 10 questions and usually takes 5-10 minutes to complete. This will occur seamlessly with your seating evaluation when discussing your medical history and current equipment use. Follow-ups to repeat the survey questions are scheduled at 21, 90, 180, and 365 days post-delivery and annually thereafter by a company called VGM, also known as U.S. Rehab. They will ask the same 10 questions.

The benefits of participating in the FMA include improving client outcomes, collecting supporting data to improve funding and legislation for Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT), and improving how Mobius Mobility can best serve our clients.  The FMA is also a way for the industry to make payers aware that proper equipment and tracked care plans reduce the future cost of care per client. The FMA is optional to participate in. However, it will benefit you as well as others in securing proper funding and legislation needed for CRT and improving the quality of life for those living with a disability.
